Care guide
Caring for your wardrobe shouldn’t feel complicated, especially when each piece is made slowly, thoughtfully and in small batches. To help you keep your likemary favourites feeling soft, comfortable and long-lasting, we’ve put together a few simple care habits.

100% Merino Wool
handwoven shawls & hand-knit accessories
The artisans in the Kullu Valley who handmake our merino wool shawls and accessories recommend dry cleaning as the best way to preserve your shawls and knits.
We know that this isn’t always convenient and have found that a very gentle handwash is a good alternative. Wash your wool piece separately in cool water, using a mild detergent designed for delicates.
After washing, reshape your shawl or accessory and leave it to dry flat on a clean, even surface. Avoid hanging, as this can stretch the natural fibres.
Soft, breathable and long-lasting, merino wool refreshes easily. Often a simple air-out is all you need between wears.

Natural Fabrics
garments made of cotton, rayon, viscose, silk
For your cotton, viscose and rayon likemary faves, we recommend a first cold handwash to help the fibres settle and maintain their shape. After this initial wash, a delicate machine cycle using cool water is fine. Always wash them separately or with similar lightweight fabrics.
To protect the life of your garment, avoid tumble drying. These natural fibres dry quickly when hung or laid flat, and this helps maintain their drape and colour.
Crinkle and lightweight fabrics often release wrinkles naturally from your body heat. If you prefer to iron, choose a low heat setting or use gentle steaming.
100% silk is more delicate and should be handwashed only using cool water and a mild detergent.

Reclaimed Poly Fabrics
garments made of poly-chiffon or poly-georgette
These lightweight reclaimed fabrics are easy to care for and can be machine washed at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Wash with similar soft fabrics to avoid snagging.
To protect the fibres and maintain the drape, avoid tumble drying. Simply hang your garment to air dry. It dries quickly and will maintain its floaty shape.
These fabrics are naturally low-crease. If you prefer to iron, choose a low heat setting or use gentle steaming.
